August 4 - August 10, 2024

Luke 1:45 – Blessed is she who has believed that what the Lord has said to her will be accomplished.

Mary was rejoicing with Elizabeth because she had been chosen as the mother of the Lord. The Holy Spirit revealed to Mary that her child would be the Son of God. Mary believed what God said before it was accomplished. Even though Elizabeth was pregnant at the same time there was no jealousy that Mary had been chosen for a special blessing.

                        
Vision Quest: God uses his people in ways best suited to his purpose. God has a special purpose for your life. Are you avoiding the call of God? Has it been many years since God promised you a blessing? Don’t let fear, doubt or impatience keep you from fulfilling God’s purpose for your life. Trust God and receive your blessing. God said it, it is done.

August 11 - August 17, 2024

Psalm 25:8, 12 – 8 Good and upright is the Lord therefore he instructs sinners in his ways. 12 Who, then, is the man that fears the Lord? He will instruct him in the way chosen for him.

Society bombards us with appeals to go in different directions. They are utilizing, television, social media, political parties, and public venues to convince us their way is the right way and to support their cause. When you find yourself pulled in a million directions, remember God teaches the humble his way and His way is the only way.

              
Vision Quest: Are you afraid to make a choice, to take a stand? To fear the Lord is to recognize God for who he is; holy, almighty, majestic, righteous, pure, all knowing, all powerful and all wise. Once we recognize God for who he is, we can see who we are; sinful, weak, frail, and needy. God will then show us how to choose His way. We must seek the ways of God in decisions concerning our beliefs, our faith, our family, our job and our lifestyle. Stand up and stand strong for the ways of the Lord.

August 18 - August 24, 2024

Romans 8:28 – And we know jthat in all things God works for the good of the those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

God works in “all things”. Do not mistake this to mean only good things happen to those who love God. It simply means God is able to turn the evils of this world around for our good to fulfill His purpose. This blessing can only be received by those who love God and are called according to his purpose. Those who are called has surrendered to the Holy Spirit and received Christ.

Vision Quest: Have you been obedient to the Holy Spirit and accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior? It will give you a new perspective, a new mind-set for your life. Trust in God, not earthly circumstances or treasures. He is waiting for you.

             
August 25 - August 31, 2024

Habakkuk 2-2-3 – 2Then the Lord replied: “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. 3For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.”
 

These scriptures are Gods response to Habakkuk questions in Habakkuk chapter 1. God said that the judgment though slow to come was certain to come. Like the Babylonians, the longer we sin without punishment for our sin, the longer we will continue to sin, but in due time punishment comes. The pride of the sin of the Babylonians became their downfall. Open your eyes to sin and free yourself in Jesus.
 

Vision Quest: Don’t be angry or discouraged because sin and injustice seems to have the upper hand. It doesn’t seem fair that your neighbor lives with her boyfriend and they have three kids, while you and your husband of six years can’t conceive. God’s answer is – Be patient, I will work out my plans for you in my perfect timing – Trusting God fully means to trust him even when we don’t understand why events occur as they do.
  

September 1 - September 7, 2024

Ephesians 6:18 And pray in the spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
 

As Christians we are consistently fighting against the evils of the world. Therefore we must pray on all occasions. We can pray without ceasing by 1) Make prayer a priority, morning, noon and night. Set your alarm to have a special prayer time daily. 2) Pray brief prayers as your response for every situation you face throughout the day. 3) Order your life around God’s desires and teachings transforming your life to a prayer life.
 

Vision Quest: Make prayer your life and make your life a prayer. We are living in a world the needs Gods powerful and prayerful influence. I’m calling all saints to please “pray without ceasing,” 1Thessalonians 5:17.

September 8 - September 14, 2024

Matthew 7:7-8 ”7Ask and it will be given to you seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”8For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and he who knocks, the door will open.
People often give up when their prayers are not answered right away or they don’t recognize the presence of God. Jesus tells us to persist in pursing God. Knowing God takes faith and commitment. Don’t give up on your desire to seek and find God. Have faith, focus and follow through on your quest to seek God, Jesus assures us that we will be rewarded.
  

Vision Quest: Don’t let the unknown keep you from God. Continue to pray and ask God for knowledge, patience, wisdom, love and understanding. He will give them to you.
 

September 15 - September 21, 2024

Deuteronomy 6:4-9 “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”
  

These scriptures sets the pattern the helps us align the Word of God to our daily lives. We are to love God, think constantly about His commandments, teach His commandments to our children, and live each day by the instructions in His Word.
  

Vision Quest: Do you thirst for the Word of God and guidance for your life? The bible provides practical teaching and guidance for our lives. Study every chance you get. Read the word in your home, watch Christian television, listen to the word of God in your car, and get sound biblical teach from a local church. Make God apart of your everyday experiences.

 
September 22 - September 28, 2024

Romans 1:5-6 5Through Him and for his name’s sake, we received grace and apostleship to call people from among all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith. 6And you also are among those who are called to belong to Jesus Christ.
Paul and the apostles received forgiveness (Grace, God’s unmerited favor). They also received the responsibility to share the message of God’s forgiveness (Grace, God’s unmerited favor) to others. God graciously extended that same forgiveness and responsibility to us when we believe in Him as Lord. Our God given responsibility is to witness Gods Good News to the world.
 

Vision Quest: Have you found your purpose in life, in ministry? Start by being obedient to your faith in God and honoring His charge to witness to and be example of the changed.

September 29 - October 5,  2024

Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints;  here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus Christ.

God’s ultimate triumph should encourage God’s people to remain faithful through every trail and persecution. The secret to endurance is trust, prayer and obedience. God promises, by trusting in Jesus and obeying the commands found in His word, we can make it!
  

Vision Quest: Trust God to give you patience to endure the trails you face every day; obey him even when obedience is friendless, leads to struggling, doesn’t follow your path. God has a better plan for you. Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
  

October 6, - October 12, 2024

Proverbs 4:23 – Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.
  

Solomon instructs us to guard our hearts. We often choose to do the things we like and things we enjoy. In the daily routines of life we must choose the things of God, saturate your heart with the things of God and your desires will be of Him and the things we like and enjoy will be parallel with the things of God.
 

Vision Quest – What part of your heart is unguarded and exposed to ungodly things?
 

October 13, - October 19, 2024

Philippians 3:12 – Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold for me.
Like Paul we should strive to know Christ, be like Christ and to be all Christ has planned for us to be. Do not let anything take your eyes off of the goal.

October 20, - October 26, 2024

Acts 17:28 – For in Him we live and move and have our being. As some of your own poets have said, “We are His offspring.’
  

God is the creator, we are His creation. As the Creator He is sovereign and in control, surrender and let Him guide your life, your every move and have your heart.
  

Vision Quest – Do you live, move and act like God is your Father?

October 27, - November 2, 2024

Matthew 11:28 - Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest.
 

You may be carrying burdens of sins, sickness, debt, broken hearts, lost children or lost souls. Jesus frees us from all of these burdens. The rest that Jesus promises is love, healing, and peace with God.  Let Him carry your burdens.
 

Vision Quest – Which burden is too heavy for you to carry right now?
  

November 3, - November 9, 2024

Esther 4:14 – Who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
  

God has placed you in your positions as Pastors, ministry leaders, servants, missionaries, wives, mothers, caregivers, teachers, business professionals, etc. for a purpose. When it is in our reach to share the word of God, to help someone, to save a life we must do so. Everyone’s role is needed to increase Gods kingdom.
  

Vision Quest – What can only YOU do today?  Who can only YOU serve today?
  

November 10, - November 16, 2024

Psalm 150:6 – Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Through it all we MUST praise the Lord. God is always walking with us, guiding, protecting, caring for and loving us. For every breath you take, acknowledge Him keeping you alive. Choose God’s way for your life, through the trials, throh the triumphs, through the unknown and the unseen. Praise the Lord!
  

Vision Quest – Think about and list all God has done for you this week.  Praise Him!
  

November 17, - November 23, 2024

John 8:12 – When Jesus spoke again to the people, He said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
  

The darkness of evil will never overcome God’s light. When we follow Jesus, the True Light, He shines the light before us, lighting the path of life, providing direction and protection.
  

Vision Quest – Where do you need God to shine His light in your life?
  

November 24, - November 30, 2024

1 Chronicles 16:4 – He appointed some of the Levites to minister before the ark of the Lord, to make petition, to give thanks, and to praise the Lord, the God of Israel
  

Praise and thanksgiving should be a part of our daily lives. Praise God continually, and you will find that you won’t take His blessings for granted. Some of the Levites were appointed to give praise and thanks to God, today we are ALL appointed to give praise and thanks to God.
